CERNET.com (賽爾網路有限公司), the joint-vernture of major universities in China and a spin-off from CERNET, or Chinese Education and Research NETwork, announced a promotional plan with Levono, Dell, HP for loaning lowprice Notebook PC to qualified university students in China. Project named "Notebook Campus" enables student w/ appropriate identification to acquire Notebook PC @ 10 RMB per month, loaded with services like IPTV, VoIP, Email, and dual support of IPv4 / v6 address.
This is very impressive. 5 years from now, at least two things would happed: 1. Students get used to be served in dual mode--v4 and v6. Commercial ISPs in China will have to support v6 by then, which makes them begin to migrate to v6 with these 2 years. 2. Notebook becomes popular in China and would replace desktop, high-end notebook will be in greater demand.
