Anousheh Ansari (wikipedia) 是首位女性太空旅客. 這位居住在德州的富婆於上周成功利用俄羅斯火箭, 登上國際太空站. NASA.tv 有詳細報導, Flickr上也有許多照片.
各國(台灣除外)媒體也紛紛大幅報導Anousheh價值2000萬美金的壯舉, 還有她伊朗裔美國籍的特殊背景. 多維新聞報導寫道:
對祖國伊朗成為國際輿論的焦點、美國就伊朗核問題咄咄進逼，令40歲的安薩里百感交雜。她承諾美俄政府不帶出任何政治信息，原本她打算帶伊朗國旗升空，但最後不成事，她說﹕“我相信當你看見沒有疆界、種族之分的地球時，就會知道更諒解鄰里、朋友、他人的信仰、宗教、種族，不挑起引發戰爭的議題，是多麼的重要。” 她又說﹕“我希望世人看看伊朗人的另一面，有別於他們從電視、傳媒所見。我認為是次飛行會為生活在伊朗的年輕人帶來希望，讓他們對前景抱正面看法。”

我最喜歡她來自太空的第一手報導(blog). 這一篇從升空前準備講到親眼從外太空看地球:
I was finally able to take a look outside and saw the Earth for the first time… Tears started rolling down my face. I could not catch my breath… Even thinking about it now still brings tears to my eyes. Here it was this beautiful planet turning graciously about itself, under the warm rays of the Sun… so peaceful…so full of life… no signs of war, no signs of borders, no signs of trouble, just pure beauty...How I wished everyone could experience this feeling in their heart, specially those who are at the head of the governments in the world. may be this experience would give them a new perspective and help bring peace to the world.
照這樣講, 應該把台灣所有政黨領黨人送到太空去, 看看風景, 回不回的來是另外一回事. :-P

...it would make us feel better if we would hang our sleeping bags from the ceiling of the Habitation Compartment and put our head in the center of the hatch. This way we would be close to the center of mass and would feel less of the spinning effect. So I followed his direction and hung my sleeping bag upside down and slipped into the bag...I decided to be on the safe side and took another motion sickness pill before going to sleep. These pills actually make you sleepy so I figured it would help me go to sleep faster. I was able to locate my iPod in my bag and I was a happy camper… I put on my headphones and went to sleep in my Bat sack
