SPAM?

I send my blog digest thru email to friends & colleagues on a regular basis. Most people that I know  still are not used to RSS subscription, and also there are plenty of information to share with. By doing so I wish that I could be helpful and stay in touch. But such email has been considered as SPAM by GSLIN. This is odd and makes me uncomfortable.

I explain much more in Chinese below. --sigh-- If you do not wish to receive my blog digest in the future, kindly write to me directly with title "DO NOT CALL".  :-(

(zh-tw)我定期會將自己的blog post摘錄出來, 以email的方式讓週遭的朋友或同事分享, 一方面是因為大部分人還不習慣用RSS訂閱, 一方面因為資訊很多, 所以digest出來, 希望能有所幫助, 也能維繫感情.

不過好心不一定有好報. GSLIN近日視我此舉為SPAM. 我在此嚴重抗議. 我決不濫發郵件或濫用網路資源. 當我收到疑似SPAM mail, 我會verify出處, 並且email通知發信人, 若不受理, 則我report給spamcop.

update: 有位外國朋友已聽聞此事, 他說: ...SpamCop seems more like a spammer to me then an actual anti-spam company.  If we can help out, just ask.  I'm guessing this person is...stuck on some APNIC/etc mailing list?

每個人對於SPAM的認定標準不同, 這我們都必須去尊重; 但我對於草莽的舉動, 我不期望能有效溝通, 但我有表明立場的權利.

但我知道我疏忽了一件事, 就是確認收到我的blog digest的朋友都是happy的. 要讓每個人都happy不是件容易的事. 如果您已經很不爽了, 我萬分抱歉, 並請您直接email給我並註明title "DO NOT CALL". 如果您曾經覺得我的blog還有那麼一絲價值, 那我感謝您~~

另外, 請不要將TWNIC跟我的blog畫上等號, 我的blog純屬私人性質, 這方面在我的blog首頁已經宣告的很清楚了.

理應是有需要的人明確表示他們需要你的資訊，而不是要求別人明確表示他們的不爽，之後才道歉了事。

gslin 會寄給 @twnic 是因為你用來寄信的主機的 ip range 是 twnic 的，所以他這麼做並不是因為你跟 twnic 的關係，而是一個 "report spam" 的動作 (當然，是不是 spam 見人見智)
