(photo: ettoday.com) Not many people notice this comment made by Chiang Min-chin, a political analyst and a "famous month" from KMT, in CNN report yesterday about Annette Lu, the current Vice President of Taiwan and now the 2008 Presidential Candidate:
"Lu has good vision and a blueprint for ruling the country," Chiang said. "But many people have misunderstood her because of her uncompromising character. As a highly conceited person, she has never bothered to clarify her stance."
Good job Mr. Chiang. BTW which side you're on?
(photo: BBC) I am not on the a pro-independent side, however I like Lu better than the rest 3 other candidates in DPP. Four of them together, plus Chen, have been a disaster to Taiwan in the last 7 years. Some in DPP said that "the country should not be run by the one wearing skirt". Funny. Lu, as I can recall, has been consistent and responsible for what she said in the past. Like Ma Ying Giou of KMT, she went studying in Harvard and speak fluent English. That's a minimum requirement for a Taiwanese Presidenct...so that the Americans will have less chance selling out-updated military weapons to us :-P
I guess some pan-blue folks like me in Taiwan think that if KMT lose the election again because of some stupid tricks (last time was two magic bullets), we would hope that Lu is the one from DPP that gets elected. Chiang's statement came up right on time.
